Sports beat: Buchholz boys lacrosse advances to district championship game

The Buchholz boys lacrosse team will play for a district title.

On Wednesday night at home, the No. 3 seed Bobcats edged No. 2 seed Niceville, 8-7, in the Class 2A-District 1 semifinals.

The game was close throughout. The host Bobcats led 5-4 at the half and the game was tied 6-6 heading into the final quarter.

Buchholz will play Forest (Ocala) for the district title on Friday night. The top-seeded Wildcats (12-4) defeated Lincoln (Tallahassee), 19-4, in the other district semifinal.
