
The Buchholz baseball team won its third straight game at the Panama City Invitational on Wednesday night.
The Bobcats trailed host Mosley (Lynn Haven), 5-1, but scored five unanswered runs to win it 6-5 to improve to 9-3-1.
In the top of the seventh, a hit by pitch, two walks, and a 2-RBI single by Jackson Peters gave the Bobcats a one-run lead. Buchholz retired Mosley in order in the bottom of the 7th inning.
Cole Smithers earned the save for the Bobcats.
Buchholz, which is ranked 10th in Class 6A by MaxPreps, will play at noon on Thursday against Class 1A Williston.
Elsewhere, the Santa Fe baseball team overcame an early 2-0 deficit at Keystone Heights and rallied to win 9-2.
The Raiders took the lead with a 5-run inning in the top of the fourth. Zane Starling (2-for-3, 3 runs, RBI) had an RBI double, Dalton Dampier had an RBI single, and JT Thornton had a two-run single.
It was the 11th straight win for Santa Fe (12-1), which will be back in action on Thursday, April 1st, at Dunnellon.
