The Gainesville Hurricanes aren’t the only undefeated team in the area. The defending Class 1A state champion Trenton Tigers are a perfect 9-0. Darian Ingram’s perfect-game bid fell one batter short on Tuesday night against Mayo Lafayette, but the junior still tossed a no-hitter with just one walk and 14 strike outs in a 10-0 win against the Hornets. That makes 36 wins in a row for Trenton, which went wire-to-wire last year to finish 27-0. Trenton will play at district rival Chiefland tomorrow night at 7. They’ll host Gainesville on April the 23rd.
