
The Hawthorne Hornets shook off a 29-0 loss against Zephyrhills last week by scoring 20 first half points and sailing past the Tavares Bulldogs 39-0 tonight to close out its regular season.
The Hornets added two touchdowns in the third quarter, and one more in the final period and finished the year with a 6-2 record. Tavares fell to 3-4 on the season.
The Hornets open their post season campaign against the Chiefland Indians next Friday.
