
For the second consecutive week, the Buchholz football team got all the points it would need in the first half.
The Bobcats built a 39-0 lead at the half and eliminated visiting University (Orange City), 39-7, to advance in the Class 7A state playoffs.
Last Thursday in the regional quarterfinals, Buchholz took a 35-0 halftime lead over Fleming Island en route to a 35-7 win.
Two Buchholz players had a pair of scores.
Wide receiver Quan Lee scored on a 25-yard touchdown run to start the scoring and the senior added a 70-yard touchdown reception for a 29-0 lead against the Titans (7-3).
Sonic Drive-In Player of the Game Quinton Cutler had a 45-yard touchdown run and an 80-yard scoring run.
Buchholz (11-1) will host Nease (Ponte Vedra) in the regional final on Friday, Nov. 26. The No. 7 seed Panthers (9-3) upset No. 3 Niceville (10-2), 24-19, on the road.
