Update: Two northbound I-75 lanes reopen

UPDATE (1:50 pm): The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) reported that two northbound Interstate 75 lanes have reopened following a vehicle fire that closed all three northbound lanes Thursday morning one mile south of the Alachua 399 exit.

ACSO reported a vehicle fire near mile marker 398 northbound on Interstate 75 between Gainesville and Alachua Thursday morning.

All northbound lanes are closed at this time and traffic is being re-routed off the 39th Avenue exit.  ACSO reported the incident at 10:24 a.m.

The fire is located one mile south of the Alachua 399 exit.
