Update: Thursday, 2:40 p.m. — LCPD officer Joseph Wilkerson reported that Mildred C. Brooks of Lake City was safely located.
The Lake City Police Department (LCPD) issued a missing person alert to locate a Lake City woman who has been missing since Wednesday evening.
Mildred C. Brooks, 83, left her residence at 545 NW Shelby Terrace in a white Ford car between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. and has not been seen since, according to the LCPD release. The license plate is Y94PJU.
Brooks is white, 5-foot-4, weighs 117 pounds and has white hair and brown eyes.
LCPD requests those who may have seen Brooks to contact police at 386-752-4343 or dial 911.
