SUV collides with house, kills Trenton man

An 84-year-old Trenton man died Sunday morning when his SUV left the roadway before striking a fence and a house off County Road 337 in Gilchrist County.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the man was traveling south on CR 337 north of SE 27th Place when his SUV ran off the roadway on the left shoulder and struck a fence and then a house.

Emergency responders transported the driver to UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville via life flight, where he was pronounced dead.

When will the 84 year old who was in a single vehicle crash in Gilchrist County be identified
