A 20-year-old Starke man is in critical condition after losing control of his pickup Thursday evening on US 301.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the driver was traveling southbound on US 301 south of State Road 100 (W. Madison Street) at 7 p.m. when he lost control of his 2001 Ford pickup. The pickup left the roadway to the left and traveled into the grassy median where it overturned several times before coming to rest in the southbound lane. The driver is in critical condition. He was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt.
