
A Branford woman died Wednesday morning when she ran through a stop sign on County Road 248 and collided with a tractor-trailer.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) report, a 66-year-old Branford woman was driving east on County Road 248 around 10:20 a.m. when she failed to stop at the intersection at County Road 49 east of Branford and collided with a tractor-trailer driven by a 52-year-old Madison male going south.
Both vehicles came to a stop in the southeastern region of the intersection and blocked the road. The tractor-trailer overturned.
Emergency responders pronounced the Branford woman dead on the scene.
