Law enforcement is searching for a vehicle that hit and killed an Old Town man walking on SE 136th Avenue on Monday evening.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, an unknown vehicle was traveling westbound in the eastbound lane on SE 136th Avenue west of US 19 at 7:15 p.m. when it hit and killed an Old Town man walking westbound in the eastbound lane.
The vehicle fled the scene and is suspected to have front-end damage.
Emergency responders transported the pedestrian to a local helipad, but the man was later pronounced dead.
