Ocala man ejected from SUV, dies in Alachua County crash

A 31-year-old Ocala man died Tuesday night when his SUV ran through an intersection along County Road 234 in Alachua County, stuck two trees and he was ejected from the vehicle.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the driver was traveling eastbound on CR 234 when he failed to stop at the T-intersection with CR 2082 at 11:45 p.m.

The SUV traveled across the intersection, struck two large trees and the driver was ejected from the vehicle. A post-crash fire engulfed the SUV.

Alachua County Fire Rescue pronounced the man dead on scene.
