
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a fatal three-vehicle crash this morning at approximately 6:28 am on US Highway 41 and SE 2nd Street in Levy County.
According to the FHP report, a sedan driven by a 35-year-old Dunnellon man was traveling north on US Highway 41 behind a motorcycle, driven by a 53-year-old Morriston man, who was also traveling north on US Highway 41 and was slowing to turn left into a driveway.
As the motorcycle slowed, the sedan struck the rear of the motorcycle, and the driver was thrown from the motorcycle. A tractor/trailer, driven by a 28-year-old Bell man, was traveling south on US Highway 41 and struck the driver of the motorcycle, who was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The FHP did not release the names of the three drivers associated with the collisions.
