
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a pedestrian hit by a vehicle in Suwannee County this afternoon at approximately 5:30 pm.
According to the FHP report, the vehicle, a pickup truck driven by a 50-year old man from High Springs was southbound on US-27 east of Craven Street in Suwannee County.
For reasons under investigation, the pedestrian, a 67-year-old woman from Branford, walked from the center of the roadway directly in front of the pickup.
The front of the truck struck the woman within the southbound lane.
The woman died of injuries sustained in the collision, according to the FHP report.
This crash is still under investigation.
