The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a pedestrian fatality last night in Lake City.
A semi tractor trailer was traveling north on US Highway 41 when a pedestrian walking southbound on the east shoulder walked into the roadway. The semi struck the pedestrian, who sustained serious injuries.
The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The identity of the pedestrian is currently unknown.
