Lake City police are investigating the death of a person found dead inside a vehicle on Tuesday morning in the Home Depot parking lot.
According to a Lake City Police Department (LCPD) release, officers responded at 12:17 a.m. to the report of an unresponsive individual at 215 SW Home Depot Dr.
When they arrived, the officers discovered the person dead inside the vehicle. The scene was secured, and detectives took over the investigation. The identity of the victim was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
