
A two-vehicle killed a Middleburg man and seriously injured a Keystone Heights woman on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, a 74-year-old Middleburg man was driving a sedan eastbound on County Road 215 around 4:06 p.m. and failed to yield the right-of-way at the intersection of State Road 21 and pulled out in front of a 54-year-old Keystone Heights woman driving an SUV, where the two vehicles collided.
Emergency responders transported both drivers to Orange Park Medical Center where the Middleburg man was pronounced deceased. The Keystone Heights woman is in serious condition.
FHP, assisted on scene by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, is investigating the accident.
