County lifts burn ban from emergency order
This morning, the Alachua County Board of County Commission agreed to lift the burn ban off of the emergency order.
Commission Chair Robert Hutchinson said at the April 21 meeting, “We have no drought conditions now, we have a fire department with lower than normal calls, and a lot of people home doing yard work.”
Commissioner Marihelen Wheeler agreed but added that she hopes citizens will, “take into consideration the wind.”
