
Two people were killed and one critically injured when two pickups collided head-on in Dixie County on Friday night.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, a male driver (unknown age and unknown town) was driving a pickup, and a 24-year-old Old Town man was driving the other pickup when the two collided head-on at the intersection of NE 592nd Street and NE 173rd Avenue at 9:49 p.m.
Emergency responders pronounced the unknown male driver dead on scene and flew his 35-year-old Old Town female passenger to a local hospital with critical injuries where she was pronounced dead. The two were reportedly not wearing seatbelts.
The 24-year-old Old Town man was also flown to a local hospital and is in critical condition. It was not known if he was wearing a seatbelt.
