
Writers Alliance of Gainesville (WAG) will present a free lecture by award-winning novelist Richard Gartee on Sunday at the Millhopper Branch Library meeting room.
Gartee will present on the subject of “How to Write Your First Novel (or 2nd or 3rd)” from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
The event is geared toward writers looking to pick up helpful tips on keeping the creativity flowing and reducing the number of revisions.
The novelist will discuss the writing process from the first draft to the final proofread.
WAG is a nonprofit organization of writers helping other writers to foster creative expression through the written word. The organization consists of 200 members who write in diverse genres.
Gartee is a member of WAG. He has authored 26 published books, including six novels, five collections of poetry, a biography, and multiple editions of seven college textbooks.
