The Williston Animal Group recently received $50,000 from New Hampshire-based GPS dog collar and pet containment technology company SpotOn.
The Levy County animal shelter is one of five animal welfare organizations awarded the 2024 SpotOn Gives Grant as part of SpotOn’s fifth-anniversary celebration.
“SpotOn Gives embodies our commitment to enhancing animal welfare,” SpotOn President Jennifer Joyce Kean said in a press release. “We’re excited to support organizations striving for a safer, happier world for pets.”
SpotOn GPS fence technology replaces buried wires and base stations using a network of satellites, eliminating the need for professional installation and maintenance. The 2024 SpotOn Gives Grant recipients are Williston Animal Group, Marley’s Mutts, The Animal Rescue League of Iowa, Animal Rescue of the Rockies and Dizzy Dog Animal Rescue.
Each group plans to use the funds for different services including free microchipping, vaccination, spay and neutering services, rescue transportation, saving shelter animals from euthanasia and covering shelter operation costs.
“This grant will now help us spay and neuter hundreds of dogs in Levy County, Florida,” Williston Animal Group said in the release.

What a deserving rescue! We adopted the most amazing dog from them, way back in 2010. She was the sweetest dog, and I know it’s because WAG eased her transition from being dumped, to a forever home. I am forever grateful for them.
