The UF Opera Theatre and the Ocala Symphony Orchestra will present “Puccini: Love & Laughter,” showcasing two of Giacomo Puccini’s greatest works on Thursday and Saturday, Feb. 20 and 22.

The performances will run from 7:20 to 10 p.m. at University Auditorium (333 Newell Dr., Gainesville).

The evening will feature “Suor Angelica,” one of Puccini’s most beautiful and emotional operas, and “Gianni Schicchi,” his only true comedy, with the beloved aria “O mio babbino caro.” Both operas will be sung in modern English translations with subtitles.
