The UF Native Plant Nursery will host its 3rd annual extension plant sale on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with plants ranging from grasses to trees and prices from a dollar to $40.
The event will happen on UF’s main campus at the corner of Hull Road and Mowry Road, just down the street from Condron Ballpark.
UF experts will be at the sale to discuss native plants, urban landscaping, invasive species management and wildlife habitat creation. The sale will include more than 100 species.
Nursery Manager Gage LaPierre said the sale will accept cash, cards and checks.
“Come early as plants go fast,” LaPierre said.
The UF Native Plant Nursery started in 2020 and has grown more than 22,000 plants for restoration and enhancement projects, according to a press release. The nursery produces these plants all year for use in UF-owned spaces.
