On Thursday, The Amazing Give 2025 fundraiser generated more than $1.1 million on over 6,200 gifts directed to 118 nonprofit organizations in the Gainesville area.
As of Friday, this year’s 12-hour online event to raise money for local nonprofits raised $1,158,124 and, according to The Amazing Give website, donations will be accepted through 11:59 p.m. on Monday, April 28.
The Junior League of Gainesville hosted the annual event, which started in 2016 by the Community Foundation of North Central Florida, for the second straight year. Organizations involved are verified 501(c) (3) charitable nonprofits that are either headquartered or provide services in North Central Florida. The purpose of the event is to raise funds for non-religious services, programs or activities.
“The Amazing Give is proof that when a community comes together with purpose, real change happens,” said Demetrica Tyson, president of the Junior League of Gainesville, in a press release. “What we’ve achieved year over year—raising more than $1 million locally—is incredible. Every dollar raised helps weave a tighter, more compassionate safety net for those who need it most.”
An Amazing Give Wrap Party was held on Thursday night at South Main Station to celebrate the day’s donations and volunteer efforts. The event featured DJ Elio Entertainment, pop-up vendors, food and games.
