Special Olympics Florida is looking for volunteers to help run the Area 3 and 4 flag football and softball competitions in Lake City on Saturday.

The events will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. as athletes from across Northeast Florida will compete at the Southside Sports Complex, 1963 SW Bascom Norris Dr. Volunteers are needed to help with the competitions, keep scores, distribute lunches, hand out awards and more.

Volunteers must fill out a Class B volunteer form, bring a photo ID and be accompanied by an adult if under 15. Softball scorekeeping volunteers must have prior knowledge or experience in softball.

Volunteers will receive a Special Olympics t-shirt, lunch and a record of community service hours upon request.
