The Santa Fe College Concert Band will host its annual “Winds Go Pop!” concert on Thursday.
The performance will start at 7:30 p.m. in the Lyceum Concert Hall (Bldg E) on the NW Campus, 3000 NW 83 St., in Gainesville.
“The program is full of music that the audience will recognize,” said SF Associate Professor of Music and Band Director David L. Smith in a press release. “Our students will perform tunes that range from popular dance grooves to some of the most memorable music from movie history.”
This year’s concert will feature popular selections by Quincy Jones, The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, and more, building on last year’s lineup, which included music from Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin and John Williams.
Admission is free, but tickets are required and can be acquired from the SF Box Office by calling 352-395-4181 or visiting showpass.com/winds-go-pop-3.
