The event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the zoo, located at 3000 NW 83rd St., Building Z, in Gainesville.
Zookeeper talks and training demonstrations from Santa Fe Teaching Zoo students, other zoos and conservation programs, will show how zookeepers serve as chefs, architects, scientists, caretakers and more for zoo animals.
National Zookeeper Week has been celebrated at zoos across the country every July since 2007 when the American Association of Zookeepers worked with Congress to mark the week.
