Santa Fe College will be hosting a concert featuring two student musical groups, the SF College Jazz Ensemble and the SF Jazz Combo.
The performance will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9 in the Jackson N. Sasser Fine Arts Hall at the Northwest Campus, 3000 NW 83 Street.
The 15 students in the Jazz Ensemble will perform selections based on written arrangements of jazz standards. The student will use standard jazz instruments but also the French horn and clarinet.
The five students in the Jazz Combo will perform jazz standards focusing on solo improvisation in a small group setting instead of relying on written arrangements.
Tickets are $15 for adults; $9 for seniors, students, military service members and children 12 and under; and free for SF students, faculty, and staff with college ID cards.
