The annual “Run with the Cops” event will take place on Santa Fe’s Northwest campus on Thursday morning.
The free event is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. and open to all ages and abilities and will be held at 3000 NW 83rd St. in Gainesville.
Participants can walk or run alongside law enforcement officers, providing a great opportunity for the community to interact with police in a fun and engaging way.
In addition to walking or running with officers, there will be police and fire rescue vehicles on display, including antique and specialty units. Attendees will also have the chance to get a close look at their tools and equipment.
SFPD Police Chief Ed Book said the event will allow the community to see police as allies, not adversaries while promoting safety, security, health and wellness at Santa Fe College.
