
The Bard & Broadside North Central Florida Poetry Festival returns to Gainesville on Thursday.
The four-day festival will feature workshops, poetry readings, and kid’s events. The theme of the festival is “Unity in the Community through Text & Image.”
The festival begins on Thursday and ends on Sunday. The events will take place throughout the community. The festival is open to the public and free, however, it will be first come, first served. To reserve your spot, click here.
The poetry festival features John Murillo, author of the poetry collections, Up Jump the Boogie and Kontemporary Amerikan Poetry. He will end the festival on Sunday with a poetry workshop and reading. Participants should bring to this session either a few passages from their one favorite writer, or one passage each from a few of their favorite writers.
