The Alachua County Environmental Protection Department is inviting artists to participate in the Poe Springs Plein Air event for the Second Annual Santa Fe Springs Celebration.
The free event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 8 at Poe Springs Park (28800 NW 182nd Ave., High Springs).
This will be a free opportunity for artists to paint, exhibit, and sell their work in a beautiful outdoor setting. With no registration fees, this will be a chance for artists to showcase their talent while enjoying a lively festival atmosphere. The deadline for registering is March 7. The check-in will be of the day of the event at 8:30 a.m.
Artists interested in participating in the Poe Springs Plein Air Paint-Out should click here for the online sign-up form.
The event will include vendors, food trucks, live music, educational exhibits and more. Artists are required to bring their equipment, table, chairs and tent (if needed).
For the Plein Air Paint-Out, artists may find their spot and begin working ahead of the event. This could be a few days or even weeks. Artists are asked to be on-site to paint (finish) their work the day of the event so people can see them in action.
Midway through the event, Plein Air artists will bring their completed work to the Poe Springs Lodge (on-site) and display it to the public. All paint-out artists should be present for the showing to discuss their work and vision.
