Open house slated for Morningside Nature Center improvements

A Morningside Nature Center open house is slated for Saturday, April 19, for the public to comment on future park improvements.

The open house will run from 10 a.m. to noon at 3540 E. University Ave. in Gainesville. A shuttle service will also be available from Pine Meadows ELITE Training Center on 2626 E. University Ave. starting at 9:30 a.m. and running every 30 minutes.

The Gainesville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department and Wild Spaces & Public Places staff and facilitators will be on hand with proposed site and building designs that will be on display for comments and suggestions.
