Nashville heads to Gainesville on Saturday

The second annual Hogtown Opry is scheduled to kick off on Saturday at the historic University Auditorium.

The concert will start at 7 p.m. and the auditorium is located at 333 Newell Dr. in Gainesville next to the bell tower on the UF campus.

This year’s Hogtown Opry will lean on its roots in the Music City, Nashville. The Music City Ramblers will perform on Saturday and feature Wil Marring on vocals, guitar and upright bass; Robert Bowlin on guitar and fiddle; Forest O’Connor on vocals, mandolin and guitar; and Shad Cobb on vocals, fiddle and clawhammer banjo.
