Sometimes when you are creating recipes or any food, just the right amount of spice is key! In fact, that’s true a lot of the time.
Today’s recipe is no exception. Refried beans, by themselves, can be pretty bland. But my refried beans have become a family favorite on taco night or at friends’ taco feed parties, and the magic is in the seasoning.
As with many of our My Foodie Recipe dishes, this one is very easy to prepare. This list of ingredients makes a double batch, so if you don’t want as much, you can easily half it.
Here’s what you will need:
- Round Pyrex or glass dish (microwave safe)
- 2 regular size cans of refried beans
- Garlic salt
- Italian seasoning
- Paprika
- Bottle of hot sauce handy (I use Frank’s)
- Your favorite shredded cheese (I use medium cheddar and sharp cheddar)

Enjoy taco night!
