Lincoln Middle School tree-planting event slated for April 26

Lincoln Middle School staff and student body, along with the Alachua County arborist, are inviting the public to a tree-planting celebration for Earth Day on Saturday, April 26.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to noon at 1001 SE 12th St. in Gainesville, as participants will help plant 25 new trees across the front of the Lincoln Middle School campus.

Participants will have the opportunity to visit the new memorial dedicated to past Lincoln High School graduates while beautifying Lincoln Middle School.

“Come celebrate the health of our planet, the beauty of our community, and the prosperity of our school,” said Alachua County Arborist Lacy Holzworth in a press release.
