On Saturday, the city of Gainesville will celebrate LaVern Porter-Mitchell Community Impact Celebration Day.

The event take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the TB McPherson Center (1717 SE 15th St., Gainesville), with a special program from 1 to 2 p.m.
Attendees can explore the debut of the LaVern Porter-Mitchell Mobile Museum, tour the TB McPherson Center, and take part in various activities throughout the day.
