The Kanapaha Botanical Gardens’ 32nd Annual Spring Garden Festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday in Gainesville.
The event will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days at 4700 SW 58th Dr.
Admission is $12 for adults and $7 for children ages 5-13, with a $2 discount for Kanapaha members who present a membership card with a photo ID. The admission is valid for one day only, and no entry is allowed after 4:15 p.m.
The Spring Garden Festival is Gainesville’s premier horticultural event, offering over 100 booths filled with plants, garden accessories, landscape displays, arts and crafts, and educational exhibits. Visitors can browse various plants, including fruit trees, landscape trees, vegetables, and native plants, many of which are sold by local and regional nurseries. In addition, garden services such as tree trimming and irrigation systems will be available.
Live entertainment will be featured on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the main stage under a large live oak tree near the entrance. The performers will include AELEA, Emmett Carlisle, Lost Safari Drummers, Klezmer Katz and the Brian McMahon Band.
Visitors are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes, bring a broad-brimmed hat and sunscreen, and a wagon or pull cart for transporting larger plants or purchases. Strollers, walkers and wheelchairs with inflated tires are recommended for navigating the grassy areas.
Parking is free and located on-site, as the Kanapaha recently purchased additional land for parking. To ensure the event runs smoothly, guests must follow the directions of volunteer parkers. Vehicles not following parking instructions may be escorted off the property for safety reasons.
Pets are not allowed, except for service animals. For additional information, visit the Kanapaha Botanical Gardens website or call 352-372-4981.
