Hippodrome releases January schedule of films, special events

Hipp Cinema, a part of the Hippodrome Theatre, has announced its lineup of special events for January 2025. 

The program brings art house cinema to Gainesville, delivering independent films, documentaries, world cinema and classics. Located in the historic Hippodrome Theatre building 25 SE 2nd Pl., the cinema also involves innovative programming and community engagement.

Cocktails & Classics presents “The Royal Tenenbaums” (R, 2001) 

  • 8 p.m. Jan. 11 
  • Signature monthly event featuring a specially crafted cocktail inspired by the film, included with each ticket purchase.
