The city of Gainesville will host its annual New Year’s Eve celebration at Depot Park and Bo Diddley Plaza. Events run from 5 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., ranging from fireworks to a live music celebration.
The festivities are to begin at 5 p.m. on Sunday with “Sparks in the Park,” a family-friendly dance party on the lawn of Depot Park.
Attendees can bring chairs or blankets to watch the sun go down on 2023, then view a musically choreographed fireworks show over the main pond.
After the fireworks, from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., the celebration will continue at Bo Diddley Plaza, featuring live music from The Shoddy Beatles and DJ Wax Atom.
Good times away.
