ShutterstockThe city of Gainesville’s local leaders and Rosa Parks Quiet Courage Committee members are gathering to honor Rosa Parks’ legacy at a ceremony on Friday.
The ceremony will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Rosa Parks Transfer Station (700 SE 3rd St.).
Scheduled to speak at the event are Gainesville Mayor Harvey Ward, Gainesville City Commissioners Cynthia Chestnut and Desmon Duncan-Walker, Rev. Milford Griner, Evelyn Foxx and Rodney Long.
