Dance Alive National Ballet (DANB) and the city of Alachua will present the Alachua Spring Concert, a benefit performance at Legacy Park Multipurpose Center on Sunday.

This event will start at 3 p.m. and marks the first collaborative program between DANB’s Next Generation and danceAbout, bringing together young dancers in a celebration of movement and artistry.

Students in the danceAbout outreach program have been training weekly under DANB outreach teachers Alison Tucker and Marilyn Deiorio since February, supported by the city of Alachua and DANB sponsors. Next Generation, DANB’s youth performing group, will join them onstage in a diverse program featuring classical ballet, jazz, contemporary and tap.

  • “Boogie Shoes” – A lively piece by DANB’s Judy Skinner.
  • “Playground” – A dynamic work by guest choreographer Michelle Zada.
  • “Boogie Wonderland” – A high-energy finale featuring danceAbout and Next Generation dancers, with a tap section led by guest artist Victor Mancuso before transitioning through ballet, jazz, and contemporary styles.
