This year’s theme, “Wild About Nature,” gives campers the chance to explore the outdoors through activities like archery, swimming, kayaking, arts and crafts, and outdoor skills.
Day camps run from June 9 to July 25 for ages 7 to 12, featuring weekly field trips to Carson Springs Wildlife Foundation, Poe Springs and the Cade Museum. A new minicamp offers a smaller group experience for first graders, providing age-appropriate activities in a fun, supportive environment.
For ages 11 to 14, specialty camps include Fish Camp (June 9-13), where campers learn catch-and-release techniques, and a new Teen Adventure Camp, featuring high-adventure activities and trips such as kayaking the Santa Fe River and rock climbing.
Campers will also enjoy educational presentations from partners like the UF/IFAS Extension, Alachua Audubon Society and the Florida Museum of Natural History.
The weekly rate is $150 for day camps and $200 for specialty camps, with meals included. Bus transportation is available from Lincoln Middle School, and scholarships are offered through Alachua County Children’s Trust and Friends of Cuscowilla.
