Alachua County is accepting applications from anyone interested in serving on the Children’s Trust of Alachua County’s (CTAC) 10-member governing board.
The CTAC is an independent special district that has taxing authority dedicated to funding preventative, developmental and treatment services supporting the well-being of local children. CTAT unveiled its new location at 4010 NW 25th Place in Gainesville on Saturday.
The CTAC Board features five members appointed by the governor and the remaining five appointments are comprised of names recommended to the governor by the Alachua County Commission.
There is currently one vacancy, along with four board members who are eligible for reappointment.
“CTAC funds and supports a coordinated system of community services that allows all youth and their families to thrive,” said CTAC board chair and County Commissioner Ken Cornell, referring to the mission and values statements, in a press release. “It facilitates equitable access and opportunities for all children, youth and families in Alachua County to ensure every child reaches their maximum potential.”
Applications are due by May 1. Click here to fill out an application.
