Alachua County Fire Rescue (ACFR) is inviting residents to a public meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 27, to discuss its master plan.
The meeting is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Alachua County Training Center (5801 NW 34th Blvd.) in Gainesville.
The master plan outlines ACFR’s priorities and strategies for emergency medical services, disaster preparedness and fire protection.
According to an Alachua County press release, “Given the importance of this plan in safeguarding the community, public input and feedback are invaluable.”
“Public participation is vital as it helps us ensure that the plan addresses the needs and concerns of all community members,” said Fire Rescue Chief Harold Theus in the press release. “We encourage everyone to attend, share their perspectives, and contribute to the development of a plan that will enhance our community’s resilience and safety.”
