
The Second Annual Gainesville International Guitar Festival will be held at Heartwood Soundstage in Downtown Gainesville on Sunday.
The event will run from noon to 9 p.m.at 613 S. Main St. and will feature a full day of performances, gear demos, workshops, and a swap meet.
Attendees can see performances and hear talks by famous guitarists, view pedal and gear demos by builders and collectors, attend a swap meet to trade gear, plus get chances to learn about nearby guitar education programs. Guests can participate in jam sessions, a guitar show-and-tell, and multiple workshops plus panels, which cover topics like pedal building, slide guitar techniques and guitars as tools for social good.
The festival lineup will feature performances from Hiroya Tsukamoto, Taylor Roberts, Jasper Smitty, Mike Boulware, Richie Stano and others. Exhibitors include Funky Music Store, Hoggtowne Music Store and Taylor Guitars, each of which will be offering a swag giveaway.
