Administrative Assistant – Apopka Chief

We are seeking an administrative assistant to support the Apopka Chief staff. The right candidate should be able to multitask and change directions as needed. Attention to detail, accuracy and to be self-motivated to stay on track is a must for this position.

Job Expectations:

  • Answer and direct phone calls using a multi-line phone system
  • Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Provide support on special projects to include legal notice, all area sports nomination, mailing papers and other projects as assigned
  • Transcribe documents and maintain organized files
  • Provide administrative support to two departments (sales and our newspaper)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience preferred
  • Proven experience in administrative roles
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Data entry skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks

Job Type:

  • Full-Time

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Pay:

  • $14.00-$16.50/hr
