
The Alachua County Housing Division will make $200,000 in SHIP funding available for home repairs as a part of the Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation program.
The funds include grants for low-income eligible applicants only.
The program, which is first come, first serve, is for Alachua County residents only, but those living in the City of Gainesville are ineligible to apply.
The Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program has $150,000 in available funds and is only for low- and very-low-income applicants. The Emergency Repairs program has $50,000 in available funds with a $10,000 maximum per home.
The grant staff will review and assist applicants with the application process.
To apply, email housing@alachuacounty.us. In the subject line, add ‘request a roofing application,’ and in the body of the email, include your full name, address, and phone number.
