DeSantis appoints 3 to GNV-Alachua County Regional Airport Authority

On Wednesday, Gov. Ron DeSantis appointed three people to the Gainesville-Alachua County Regional Airport Authority.

The three people are Brian Crawford, Wesley Maul and Staci Sims.

Crawford, of Gainesville, is the founder of Concept Companies. He is a board member of the Flagler Hospital Health Services and Lacerta Therapeutics. He attended Criswell Bible College.

Maul, of Gainesville, is the owner of Admiral Strategy Group. He previously served as the director of the Florida Division of Emergency Management. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and economics and his juris doctor from UF.

Sims, of Newberry, is the chief operation officer for the Florida Farm Bureau Federation. She serves on the Florida Commission on the Status of Women and previously served as the general counsel and director of government and community affairs for the Florida Farm Bureau Federation. She earned her bachelor’s degree in food and resource economics and her juris doctor from UF.

The Gainesville-Alachua County Regional Airport Authority, created by the 1986 Florida Legislature, manages and operates the airport and its facilities. There are nine board members who serve three-year terms.
