According to an Alachua County Fire Rescue (ACFR) release, units responded at 7:28 a.m. to the accident that included heavy damage to two vehicles. ACFR responders used hydraulic tools to extricate one person trapped in one vehicle.
Four patients were transported to the hospital and three other people were evaluated and released on scene by emergency responders. Two patients were sent to the hospital on trauma alerts.
