
The University of Florida announced today that 25 football players tested positive for COVID-19 in the past week, and have suspended football activities indefinitely.
Two weeks ago, UF’s weekly update reported one positive in the 178 tests conducted in October, one week ago, it reported five more positives and another 25 this week.
Since returning to campus in May, there have been 62 positive cases among football players, and 31 of them this month.
The reported positive cases do not include coaches or support staff. Coach Dan Mullen announced Saturday that he too tested positive for COVID-19. as well as two assistants.
The outbreak caused the SEC to reschedule the UF-LSU game to December 12th and to move the Missouri game from this Saturday to October 31st.
